Liquid soap is best to fight against infection and to avoid it. However, the antibacterial property of the soap makes it even more popular than any other soap.
The market is filled with antibacterial hand soaps with plenty of benefits, but the question is, is it worth running behind these products? If you don’t feel it is worth it, then you can make antibacterial soap yourself at home. There are few tips which you must keep in mind while making an antibacterial soap at home like -coloration, quality of soap, foam, ease of use, foaming velocity, the smell of the soap, skin response, physical appearance, and water solvent. Below are some techniques that you can follow to make your antibacterial hand soap.
Ingredients for Honey- Glycerine liquid soap:
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup of cold water
- 1 soap bar
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Glycerine
- Liquid soap dispenser
Directions:
- Grate the soap bar and place it along with the boiling water in a blender. Then, churn the mixture until it is thoroughly whipped.
- Add 1 tbsp of both honey and glycerin, then stir it well.
- Leave the mixture to cool down for at least 15-20 minutes, then whip the mix again.
- Add one full cup of cold water to the mixture and whip it again.
- Pour the mixture in a container until its cold.
- Fill it in the liquid dispenser, and don’t forget to shake it well before use.
Ingredients for Mild-chemical-free liquid soap:
- 1 mild chemical-free soap dish
- 25 – 30 drops of essential oil (fragrance of your choice)
Directions:
- Grate the soap, then place it in a saucepan to melt it over low flame.
- Continuously stir it with a wooden soap to avoid the formation of lumps.
- Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to it and then stir it well.
- Now, transfer the mixture to a small glass container and then leave it to dry.
- Scoop out some amount of soap when you need it.
Ingredients for Honey -olive oil liquid soap:
- ¼ cup of honey
- ¼ cup of olive oil
- ¼ cup of water
- 1 tbsp of Castile soap (vegetable oil-based hard soap)
Directions:
- Add honey, water, and olive oil in a blender.
- Take out a little chunk of Castille soap.
- Add the soap to the blender, then process the content until it forms a viscous mixture.
- Then, pour the liquid into a liquid soap dispenser.
Ingredients for a new version of Castille soap:
- 3 – 5 oz of Castille Soap
- 20 drops of Lavender essential oil
- 10 drops of tea tree essential oil
Directions:
- Mix both lavender and tea tree essential oils together
- Heat Castille soap at low flame and then pour it to the mixture of the oils.
- Mix the ingredients well.
- Transfer the mixture into a liquid soap dispenser.
- Shake it well before use.
