Do you have a coffee maker in your home? You might only have used it to make coffee because you purchased it for the exact purpose. But did you know there are a lot of other interesting ways you can use the appliance?
It’s time to see what the coffee maker is capable of and the other uses for a coffee maker.
Boil eggs
Sure, they do! When you have a coffee maker at home, there’s no need to think about any other way to boil the eggs. You have to put the eggs in the decanter and add some water to it. When setting the timer, make sure that the eggs are submerged in water. Let it sit, take them out after 10-12 minutes, then put them in cold water. Easy, isn’t it?
Making pancakes
Heat some pancakes by pouring the preheated plate with a tiny amount of batter. Wait until small bubbles develop on the batter’s surface, and then flip for the other side to cook, and you are all set to enjoy some delicious pancake with a coffee cup.
Preparation of noodlesÂ
Are you eating noodles? Now do it, too, in the coffee machine. You’ll need to place the dried noodles in the coffee pot and brew for this. You can add the flavor or anything else, and then wait for your meal to get ready for a few minutes. It can be especially useful when you are in a hotel.
“Steam” vegetables
Have you noticed that basket at the coffee maker’s top? Well, for steaming vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower, you can use it. Chop the veggies you want to cook and place them in the basket where you have put the ground coffee. Brew up as much water as possible, and then enjoy your steamed vegetables.
Melt chocolate
Your coffee maker’s medium heat is excellent for melting chocolate! Pour chocolate chips into a metal measuring cup and place them on the heat sheet.
Once melted, the coffee maker will keep the chocolate for hours at the proper temperature and consistency. Use it to dress up homemade or fruit cookies, marshmallows, or other snacks as a dip!
Cooking hot dogs
Make the lunch easy by cooking hot dogs with your coffee maker. Just put the hot dogs (of the pre-cooked variety) in the carafe, and then run an empty basket on a brew cycle.
Check the hot dogs’ temperature after 10 minutes or so and continue cooking until they reach the temperature you desire. Pass on the mustard then!
Baking small cupcakes
Depending on how hot your coffee maker’s heat plate gets, you can even bake a cupcake with it! Just spoon the batter cupcake into a metal measuring cup and put it on the preheated plate.
Making hot cocoa
Looking for a Caffeine-free Hot Drink? Use your coffee making machine to make delicious hot cocoa!
Halfway fill the carafe with milk, then add about half a bag of chocolate chips. Add 1 cup of heavy cream, then place the carafe on the heat plate preheated.
The heating element will melt the chips gently, and the cocoa will warm up, and all you need to do is stir occasionally.
Making grilled cheese
Make a quick lunch with a grilled cheese cooked on the heat plate! (First put a small piece of tin foil on the heat plate, so you don’t leave a melted cheese mess behind).
