An altered daily routine of an individual can lead to deprivation or distorted patterns of sleep, and this is what lockdown due to Covid-19 has led us all to. Due to the lockdown, a majority of the people are facing sleep-related problems.

No wonder we all want to trigger our sleep with one magical button. In this particular post, we are bringing you to 5 fantastic yoga asanas or poses, which will induce your sleep and can help you with those unoriented intervals of sleep. Let us start discussing them in detail.

Yoga poses to induce fast sleep:

1. Child’s pose or Balasana

This yoga asana or pose can be very effective in bringing back your lost sleep.

Method: You have to rest your chest and belly on a soft pillow. One thing to keep in mind is that your butt should touch your ankles. Now, stretch your hands as much as you can. In this position, you have to focus on your breath and repeat this cycle every 15 seconds.

2. Happy baby or Ananda Balasana

Not only being effective in inducing sleep, but this yoga asana can also give you relief in period cramps and abdominal discomfort.

Method: You have to bring your knees closer to the chest, but make sure that your tailbone is touching the mattress. Move back and forth to give your spine a good massage or simply stay in that position for 60 seconds. This will help in reducing your stress levels and bringing you back to a comfortable sleep.

3. Reclining butterfly or Supta Buddha Konasana

This yoga asana or pose helps in relaxing your body by shifting in into a resting pose.

Method: You need to lie on your bed on your back and bring your feet together by playing out your knees, looking like a diamond shape. You can also keep a cushion under your knees to give them maximum comfort. You have to do this pose for at least 1 minute for the best results.

4. Legs up the wall or Viparita Karani

This yoga asana or pose helps in relieving stress and bringing your body to the best comfortable place.

Method: Extend your legs straight by taking good support of the wall. You can even use a pillow for more relaxation. You then have to focus on your breath, keeping your eyes closed. You can do this asana for 5 minutes straight.

5. Corpse pose or Savasana

This is another excellent asana to induce your sleep by attaining the best-relaxed state.

Method: You have to open your legs wide and rest your hands on the sides. You can even rest your hands at your stomach. You can keep a pillow under your thighs for further relaxation. The last step to do is, focus on your breath and keep your jaw and torso relaxed.

These were the five best yoga asanas poses to attain relaxation and to reduce stress levels. These asanas will surely bring back your sleep and get down to a good routine.
